Our Precision Process: From Consultation to Transformation
See the step-by-step workflow behind Integrity Concrete Coatings. From evaluation through installation and final walkthrough, our process is built around careful prep, industrial-grade materials, and a clean jobsite across the Lake Norman region.
ABOUT US
A Racing-Inspired Approach to Concrete Coating Excellence
At Integrity Concrete Coatings, our process is built to be repeatable, efficient, and detail-driven. Every project, whether it’s a Mooresville garage, a Cornelius pool deck, or a Davidson commercial floor, follows the same core steps so the finished system performs as intended.
- Educational Consultation: We start with an on-site evaluation and review how the space is used. We assess concrete condition and, when needed, perform moisture and hardness testing. You’ll also get a clear explanation of how polyurea and polyaspartic systems differ from common epoxy approaches, along with what those differences mean for your floor in North Carolina conditions.
- Workspace Preparation: Before installation day, clients remove vehicles and belongings. When we arrive, we set up the workspace and put dust containment measures in place. For pool deck projects, we also cover the pool to help keep dust and debris out of the water and filtration system.
- Surface Preparation: Using Lavina diamond grinding equipment, we mechanically prepare the concrete to support root-like adhesion. Cracks and pits are repaired to reduce weak points and create a more uniform base for the coating system.
- Multi-Layer Application: We apply a 100% solid polyurea base coat, then broadcast decorative vinyl flakes by hand when selected. The system is finished with a UV-stable polyaspartic top coat to support durability, stain resistance, and color stability.
- Rapid Return-to-Service: Many installations are completed in one day. We plan the workflow to reduce disruption and provide clear guidance on when the area can return to foot traffic and normal use.
Final Walkthrough & Warranty: We finish with a walkthrough, care instructions, and documentation of your 15-year warranty covering materials and labor, backed by the manufacturer. The goal is a floor that looks finished, holds up, and is easy to maintain.

ABOUT US
Why Our Process Delivers Superior, Lasting Results
A durable coating is rarely about one “secret product.” It’s about how the floor is evaluated, prepared, and installed as a complete system. Our process reflects Jonathan Davis’ professional motorsports background and lessons learned from high-spec projects, including work on Formula One garage floors at the Miami International Autodrome. That experience reinforces what matters most on any slab: correct prep, compatible materials, and consistent execution.
- Diagnostic Precision: We evaluate the slab and usage needs, and we use moisture and hardness checks when needed. This helps address challenges common in the Lake Norman area, including humidity, seasonal temperature swings, and salt exposure.
- Industrial-Grade Equipment: Mechanical prep with Lavina diamond grinding and dust containment is central to our system. It creates the surface profile needed for strong bonding, which is difficult to replicate with shortcuts like acid etching or DIY methods.
- Material Selection and Layering: Polyurea and polyaspartic layers are chosen for performance needs such as chemical resistance, flexibility, and UV stability, especially for garages, showrooms, and outdoor areas.
- Jobsite Care: We use containment and protection steps to keep the work area clean. For pool decks, that includes covering the pool during installation. We can also include slip-aware options where traction is a priority.
- Clear Expectations: You receive straightforward pricing, a timeline you can plan around, and practical guidance on care and return-to-service.
This is the framework we use for garages, showrooms, warehouses, and outdoor spaces throughout the Lake Norman region. The emphasis stays the same every time: preparation, consistency, and a system that fits the environment.
FAQS
Our Process: Frequently Asked Questions
What makes your concrete coating process different from others?
We rely on mechanical surface preparation using industrial diamond grinding, not acid etching. We also install a layered polyurea and polyaspartic system and follow consistent jobsite protection steps, including dust containment.
How long does the installation process take?
Many projects can be completed in one day. Timing depends on floor condition, repair needs, and the size of the space, and we’ll outline a realistic schedule during the evaluation.
Is there a warranty on your finished floors?
Yes. Every floor includes a 15-year warranty covering both materials and labor, backed by the manufacturer.
How do you keep my property clean during the process?
We use dust containment during surface preparation and protect adjacent areas as needed. For pool decks, we cover the pool to help prevent debris from entering the water and filtration system.
Why do you use polyurea/polyaspartic instead of epoxy?
Polyurea and polyaspartic systems are often a better fit for high-use spaces and outdoor exposure because they can bond strongly to properly prepared concrete and offer UV-stable top coat options. We’ll explain what that means for your specific space during the evaluation.
